About Ashley
Ashley Merlin is passionate about photography. Born and raised in New Orleans, she graduated from Lehigh University with a B.A. in Journalism.
In 2002, Miss Merlin decided to pursue photography full-time. Statuesque New Orleans, her first book, was published in 2010. Merlin’s work has been featured at the New Orleans Photo Alliance Gallery, University of New Orleans Fine Arts Gallery and the New Orleans Museum of Art as well as in many local and national publications.
She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, New Orleans Chamber of Commerce and the New Orleans Photo Alliance. Miss Merlin is a volunteer for a number of organizations dedicated to preserving, restoring and advocating for the statues and monuments of New Orleans. She serves on the boards of Jewish Federation of New Orleans, Jewish Family Service and Isidore Newman Alumni Association.
